Tell you about ourselves – THE games we played the most in 2015

You want to know who lies beneath Cheese Burgames? The answer is in the series of articles “Tell you about ourselves”. A question burns your lips? Send us a message on Facebook or Twitter!

As we are starting a new year, we can see thriving a lot of “best games of the year”. Never mind, each member of the team will also select one game. Not necessarily a game released in 2015, but a game we particularly played in 2015.

It’s been a while since I played video games, just for fun. Now it’s a done deal! Thanks to a french journalist, I have discovered a game called “Cook, Serve, Delicious” (released in 2012… yes, I know…), which is a good hardcore game for all the weirdos like me who like the cooking universe and to type frantically on their keyboard sequences of numbers and letters asked by the game. But “Cook, Serve, Delicious” is more than that. You have to manage your daily menus and have access to a competitive mode with leaderboards. While waiting for the next episode that will be released in 2016, I share (a little too much…) with my friends the joy I have to wear keys out in thinking I am a Chef… And I like this! Bon appétit!

Easy. I just have to compare the amount of hours I have spent on each game to immediatly see the winner: Hearthstone. However, despite my career, I can’t describe myself as a card games lover. I have difficulty in creating balanced decks and I am too faithful to my characters to upgrade my game as quickly as I would have to do it. But Hearthstone really involved me in its universe. Blizzard knows how to provide fun to its players. From the sounds effects to the interactive details of the scenes, I can never get enough of it.

This past year was full of great games experiences… The Witcher 3, Bloodborn, Metal Gear Solid 5… I have difficulty in selecting a GOTY. That’s why I would choose a not-so-recent game but so qualitative that you have to throw yourself on it if you haven’t played to it yet: The Last of us
I discovered it directly on PS4 and it was an extraordinary trip… Touching, frightening, nerve-racking, beautiful. Human, in short. This game is about infiltration and survival in a post apocalyptic universe devastated by a fungal contagion, with a beautiful relation between the main characters. If you are scared of a bad management of you partner’s AI, be reassured. It’s well developped. A must have and a must play, served with a music that is perfectly in the mood of the game.
